If you live in a City or the County, the Council is for you.

Important to know # 1: The Council exists for the benefit of residents regardless of where they live in one of our three (3) cities or in unincorporated County.

Important to know # 2: FEMA’s Nationally Recognized “Citizen Corps” programs (presented on the Home page) are available for all residents to use.

However, some programs are administered by the state of Florida, the Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, or Fire Rescue.  Also, some programs may be locally facilitated by the cities and/or the County depending on the internal resources that each has available.

Important to know # 3: Being a member or volunteer for a “Citizen Corps” program is different than volunteering for some other general City or County staff support role. Either way – the Council, Cities, and County would love to chat with you.
